Excessive broadcast traffic with little competing unicast traffic can easily
flood hardware queues, leading to throughput issues. Additionally, filling
the hardware queues with too many packets breaks FQ for broadcast data.
Fix this by enabling AQL for broadcast packets.

The error handling needed for the buffer growth logic relies on
uloop_fd's error flag, which is set based on epoll events. Doing so
without handling recvmsg's error codes is racy, as an error state may be
set between receiving epoll events and the next recvmsg, but calling
recvmsg clears the error state.

To fix this, add handling for errors returned by nl_recvmsgs_default()
and nl_recv(); checking for u->error and retrieving the error status
using getsockopt() becomes redundant.

We have observed this issue on Gluon (recent OpenWrt 23.05); on some
devices with DSA switches, the bridge interface's carrier-on event would
consistenly get lost during boot due to insufficient buffer space
(see [1]).

We have bisected the issue to netifd commit 516ab774cc16 ("system-linux:
fix race condition on bringing up wireless devices"), but that commit only
uncovered the preexisting bug by switching from getting the carrier state
from sysfs to using the netlink messages in cb_rtnl_event().

I suspect that other recent issues about netifd missing a carrier state
change like [2] may have the same underlying cause.

Increasing the receive window size improves throughout on higher-latency
links such as WAN connections. The current default of 24KB caps out at
around 500 KB/s.

Increasing the receive buffer to 256KB increases the throughput to at
least 11 MB/s.

Frequent crashes have been observed on MT7916 based platforms. While the
root of these crashes are currently unknown, they happen when decoding
rate information of connected STAs in AP mode. The rate-information is
associated with a band which is not available on the PHY.

Check for this condition in order to avoid crashing the whole system.
This patch should be removed once the roout cause has been found and
fixed.

Currently the build fails for the D-Link DIR-825 B1. THis is due to the
factory image being size-constrained. The sysupgrade image is not
affected, as OpenWrt now uses a concatenated firmware partition.

To newly install such a device, please use the latest OpenWrt 22.03
factory image and install a Gluon sysupgrade.

This disables A-MSDU support on mesh-links. This restores throughput on
mesh-links established between broken (ath10k) and correct (mt76)
implementations of mesh A-MSDU.

This patch can be dropped when switching to the next OpenWrt release, as
proper fixes have been applied.

b6cbab1ad7 openssl: fix CVE-2023-464 and CVE-2023-465

Backport two patches combining dual-flash layouts of OCEDO as well as
UniFi AC boards.

The two firmware partitions are already combined on OpenWrt master to
prolong the life of these devices. It allows the device to store
firmware images up to 14 MB compared to the previous 7 MB.

The intention behind backporting these patches is to allow these devices
to have a wide update path to firmware-versions requiring this extra
space. Otherwise a device might not be able to install an upgrade which
exceeds a single firmware-partition.

For UniFi AC boards it should be noted that factory-installation will
not be possible with an image exceeding a single firmware-partition. In
this case, an older OpenWrt image that fits in a single partition and
supports writing the enlarged partition space is required.

Currently, this is not the case. As these devices are end-of-sale, this
will become less of a concern over time.
