      build: extend GLUON_DEBUG with values 0, 1 and 2 · d09cda05
      Matthias Schiffer authored
Debugging binaries in images that are built with sstrip is extremely
annoying, as not even objdump will work on them.

Switching from sstrip to standard strip increases the ath79 image size
(for some usual Archer C7 v2 configuration I used for testing) by ~70KiB,
or 1.3% of the rootfs size (~1% of the total image size), which is
      rarely worth the decreased debuggability.

Extend GLUON_DEBUG to not only distinguish 0 and 1, such that:

      - 0 uses sstrip same as before
      - 1 switches to regular strip; this is the new default
      - 2 includes all debug info, like GLUON_DEBUG=1 did before

bcm27xx-bcm2711: add (broken) support for the Raspberry Pi 4 · dbea6f97
      Linus Lüssing authored

      Known issues:

      * 11s is not working
      * has no reset button, only SSH access, serial access or an external SD
card update can return it to config mode at the moment
      * LED: generally the red sys LED is working, including boot and failsafe
        blink patters, but:
        * sometimes not lit after boot
        * not blinking in config mode; instead sometimes either persistently on
and sometimes persistently off after booting into config mode

      Therefore adding it as broken.

However, due to its CPU power and small size still interesting as a VPN
offloader or WiFi rooftop core node (e.g. to Gluon'ify 5+60GHz devices).

Manifest aliases are added for upgrades from unreleased Gluon builds
and can be removed again at some point in the future.

Tested on a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.1.

      bcm27xx: switch from ext4 to squashfs · 7e5a2350
      Linus Lüssing authored

Similar to x86 build images with a squashfs instead of ext4 filesystem
on bcm27xx / for the Raspberry Pi. This allows to use sysupgrade
properly and allows to use the firstboot command.

Runtime tested on a Raspberry Pi 4. Build tested for the Pi 3 / bcm2710.

      bcm27xx: update manifest aliases (#3110) · 20c2adae
      Matthias Schiffer authored
As the boardname-based image name setting was broken for bcm27xx due to the
target rename, we need to keep the model-based names updated for now.

Add all model strings currently seen on the Multimeshviewer and update
      the comments accordingly.

      targets.mk: fix inconsistent env variable BROKEN (#2934) · 87ba9ecd
      Felix Baumann authored
BROKEN TARGETS were built when BROKEN was set as a variable regardless of
it's value. Even an empty BROKEN variable caused BROKEN TARGETS to be
built. For DEVICES the number was evaluated and compared to true by Lua.

Make behavior consistent for relevant values UNSET/EMPTY/0 and 1:
UNSET/EMPTY/0: Don't build BROKEN TARGETS and DEVICES
1: Build BROKEN TARGETS and DEVICES

The behavior remains inconsistent for all positive numbers except 1.

      ath79-generic: remove Ubiquiti AirMax targets (#3067) · a0f5b4e9
      David Bauer authored

      Remove due to ticket #2939

These devices risk being bricked in a way that can not be recovered
without running full TFTP or serial recovery, as the flash ends up in a
read-only state with no way of upgrading to a fixed version.

Thus, remove the support for the time being. Don't just flag them as
BROKEN, as this would deliberately brick these boards when installating
      such an image.
